The tuition-free Saylor University MBA is designed to meet the needs of busy, self-motivated learners. The self-paced program provides future managers and leaders with knowledge and competence in key areas of business, including Financial Management, Marketing Management, Innovation, and Sustainability.

The program is designed by credentialed faculty with significant real-world experience to help students develop core competencies including critical thinking, increasing business efficiency, developing business strategies, ethical and legal responsibilities of business, and understanding global perspectives.

Program Outcomes

Students who successfully complete this MBA program will be able to:

  • Identify and analyze problems and apply critical thinking to their solution.
  • Integrate tools, technology, and concepts from multiple functional areas to solve business problems.
  • Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to determine strategic goals and directions.
  • Evaluate and integrate ethical and legal considerations when making business decisions.
  • Incorporate diversity and multicultural perspectives, including effective global communication skills, when making business decisions.

Admission Requirements

There are no standardized test requirements. To be accepted into the MBA program, each student must meet the following prerequisites:

  • Proficiency in English: All students must demonstrate college-level English reading and writing proficiency. Non-native English speakers may be required to complete Saylor's ESL courses prior to acceptance.
  • Bachelor's Degree: Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Residency Requirement: Applicants must reside in the US state of Florida or outside the United States and its territories. Residents of other US states or territories, and residents of Iran, Syria, Crimea, Cuba, or North Korea are not currently eligible.
  • Entrance Exam: A rigorous proctored entrance exam must be passed with a score of 80%. Students must demonstrate knowledge in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Finance, Organizational Behavior, Principles of Marketing, Management Information Systems, Principles of Management, and Operations Management. Study materials and a practice exam are available.
  • Course Completion: Prospective students must satisfactorily pass MBA601: Financial Management with 80% or higher. This course also grants three graduate credits.
  • Enrollment Agreement: Students must complete the MBA Enrollment Agreement upon achieving the required score on the entrance exam.

Pre-Entry Course Requirements

All students must first complete the entrance exam and then MBA601: Financial Management. Students must also complete the enrollment agreement including official proof of identity and a transcript of an earned bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. There are no waivers available for these requirements.

Application and Enrollment Process

Upon successful completion of the entrance exam and prerequisites, students may register within 90 days by completing the online enrollment agreement, including official proof of identity and a transcript of an earned bachelor's degree. Students will be promptly notified after review and approval, and can then begin the program.

  • MBA602: Marketing Management
  • MBA603: Managing People
  • MBA604: Innovation & Sustainability
  • MBA605: Strategic Project Management
  • MBA606: Operations & Supply Chain Management
  • MBA607: Data-Driven Decision-Making
  • MBA608: Ethical & Strategic Management

MBA602–607 can be completed in any order. MBA608 must be completed before MBA609.

Step 2

Leadership Capstone

Complete the capstone course:

  • MBA609: Leadership Capstone

The capstone integrates knowledge and skills from the core courses into practical, real-world leadership challenges.

Step 3

Concentration Track

Choose one of the following concentration tracks:

Data Management & Analytics

  • MBA610: Business Intelligence & Analytics
  • MBA611: Data Management
  • MBA612: Data-Driven Communications

International Business

  • MBA613: International Business
  • MBA614: International Finance
  • MBA615: International Marketing

Students must complete all courses within a concentration track with a minimum score of 80% in each course to earn the MBA degree.

MBA Learning Path

Proctoring Fees

All final exams must be taken in a proctored environment through SmarterProctoring. Each session costs $5.00. Each course (except the Leadership Capstone) requires one proctored exam. The Leadership Capstone requires four proctored exams.

  2. Once logged in, select the Join the Pre-MBA Program link from the banner or go to the Program Catalogue.
  3. Choose the MBA Prerequisites program.
  4. Select the Sign Up button.
  5. Complete the content in the following order:

    3. MBA Enrollment Agreement
